\"TiganokinisiWhat an inspiring week in Cyprus! \ud83c\udf0d\u2600\ufe0f <\/p>\n

Together with our project partner Acpelia<\/strong><\/a> we, Stephanie & Christian, from the Tredu Club<\/strong> were able to participate as guests in several activities this week as part of the Erasmus+ project SUCOMINNO – Sustainable Communication and Innovation<\/strong><\/a> project. This was a great opportunity for us to think outside the box, learn about new methods and learn from real professionals in international youth work. <\/p>\n

The SUCOMINNO project brings together youth workers from different countries to break new ground in sustainable communication and innovation promotion – and we were right in the middle of it. In addition to exciting discussions and many opportunities for networking, we were able to take part in four varied and practical activities: <\/p>\n

\ud83d\udd01 At the Decathlon of Environment<\/strong>, we experienced how environmental education can be made exciting and active through playful approaches. Gamification in youth work? We say: Yes, please! <\/p>\n

\ud83d\udee2\ufe0f The presentation on biodiesel<\/strong> was particularly exciting. Here we learned how an alternative fuel can be obtained from used cooking oil – a great example of how the circular economy works in practice. For many of us, this was a new, motivating insight into the world of sustainable energy sources. <\/p>\n

\ud83c\udfd6\ufe0f The Adopt a Beach – Clean Pissouri Beach<\/strong> campaign was not only a contribution to environmental protection, but also a great community experience. Armed with garbage bags and gloves, we not only cleaned up the beach, but also had many valuable conversations. <\/p>\n

\ud83e\udd7e The hike on the Genesis Aphrodite’s Trail<\/strong> was a wonderful mixture of nature experience, exchange and movement – and showed us once again how powerful learning outside the classroom can be.<\/p>\n

\ud83c\udf0c And finally: the astronomy night on the beach in Pissouri<\/strong> – a magical evening under the stars, where we not only learned new things about the universe, but also a lot about the unifying power of shared experiences.<\/p>\n

This week in Cyprus was a real highlight for us at the Tredu Club. We were able to gain valuable insights into the organization and implementation of international projects, get a lot of inspiration for our own work – and also take away some ideas for our upcoming Erasmus+ youth project “Can’t you SEA?”<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

But perhaps most importantly, we have lived the European idea<\/strong>. Learning together with partners from other countries, sharing ideas and working towards a sustainable, inclusive future – that’s exactly what Tredu Club stands for. And that is exactly why we are grateful to have been a part of this week. <\/p>\n
